Some 70 years ago, a switchboard operator operated many telephone calls manually.

A connection between Hamburg, Germany, and New York could take up to 30 minutes. It is almost incredible these days with nearly instant video conferencing calls between all locations globally.

The automation of switchboards also led to a massive lay-off of workers.

The question here is:
Are we willing to go back to these days and live with massive connection times for a single call knowing that many workers would remain in their jobs?

I don´t think so. Innovation always comes with shifts in the labor market.

And my profession is no exception.

I wrote my latest book yesterday morning. 4 hours and 90 chapters.

We see avatars arising and artificial reasoning on the rise.

So we have to think about who we are in these times.

And what is my business?

Nokia´s business was to produce phones. Not to deliver communication possibilities.

Blockbuster´s business was renting DVDs, not entertainment.

An welche E-Mail sollen wir die Masterclass schicken?
